We are excited to invite you to our upcoming WIN Ireland Networking Lunch Event on navigating your career and parenthood. Join us for an interactive workshop followed by a networking lunch where we’ll be exploring how to balance your career with parenting and caregiving responsibilities.

We need your help!

Advancing gender equality and breaking down stereotypes starts with encouraging joint responsibility for parenting and caregiving. We need to have women and men attending & participating in this session. BYOMC– Bring Your Own Male Colleague is strongly encouraged to help us achieve a 50:50 representation in the room for this important workshop for all.

About the Event:

“To ensure Ireland’s infrastructure meets the needs of a diverse population, gender balance across organisations is vital!”

Research indicates that:

  • 1 in 2 believe parenting is not compatible with senior roles

  • 80% of the Gender Pay Gap is due to the ‘The Motherhood Penalty’.

  • 85% of women leave full-time employment within 3 years of their first child’s birth.

With 55% of the workforce already parents and 75% expecting caregiving duties, fostering career progression alongside family is essential.

Platform55 the HR platform that transforms how companies support modern families at work, will be facilitating this interactive workshop for all in the infrastructure sector who are trying to blend their career alongside parenting and/support those around them to. The workshop will address barriers individuals face and look at practical ways to find the right balance.

About our speaker

This session will be facilitated by Tracy Gunn. Following a successful career as a Leadership Consultant, Tracy co-founded Platform55 following her own experience of trying to juggle her career with a young family. Platform55 is an award-winning HR platform that transforms how organisations support modern families at work. They provide solutions for HR, leaders, and employees to meet the changing needs of today’s workforce. Their work contributes to driving equality and creating more inclusive workplaces, enabling women and men to succeed both professionally and personally.

Women's Infrastructure Network (WIN) is an inclusive global network operating in the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom. It began as an informal community in Canada in which women in the public and private infrastructure industry could meet, collaborate ideas and help shape the infrastructure agenda.
