About the event
Join us for an engaging evening exploring The Resilience Imperative – Adapting Infrastructure for Climate Impacts Across These Islands.
As climate impacts intensify across Ireland and the UK, organisations are being challenged to not only understand climate risk - but to embed resilience into how infrastructure is planned, designed, and delivered. This session brings together leading voices from Mott MacDonald and Translink, offering both strategic insight and real-world delivery experience.
Our speakers include Nikki Van Dijk, Technical Director for Climate Resilience at Mott MacDonald, who will share insights on emerging physical climate risks and the solutions shaping future-ready infrastructure across the UK, Ireland, and beyond. Louise Best, Climate Asset Resilience Project Manager at Translink, will provide a practical perspective on the challenges facing transport networks and how strategic adaptation is being embedded to future-proof assets and maintain reliable services.
The event will begin with arrival from 5:00pm, followed by presentations and discussion from 5:15pm to 6:30pm, providing an opportunity to explore both the strategic and operational responses required to address climate risk. The evening will conclude with networking from 6:30pm to 7:00pm, offering time to connect with peers and continue the conversation.
